Kitchen Deconstruction/Construction

Pantry demolition. You can see right through into the kitchen. We've got the dry wall up. Notice the evenly spaced screws. Curious Cleo.
This is the demolition crew. We've never had soooo much fun! Mom really got into things. This is the forty year old wallpaper. There were TWO layers. Notice our trench in the wall for the electrical. (Don't ever do this with old wood!)
Everything including the kitchen sink. All gone. Notice the attractive vent pipe in the corner. The remodel added just a few electrical wires to the circuit breaker.
Getting ready to remove the window. Window removed, crew on break Window in. QA inspection for breakage.
It is imperative you ALWAYS SIGN YOUR WORK! Dry fit the tiles to make sure things look right ... before you glue them in. Half way done. We did all of the easy tiles first. Save the cutting for last.
Installing the last tile. Curing the grout. Covering it with tar paper helps it cure more consistently. Viola!
